Directions to Sites

The Chorale has been fortunate to find excellent host sites for its rehearsals and performances. Locations for special performances vary (see "Calendar.") If you need directions for any specific site, or have questions regarding handicapped accessibility, please contact us by email or phone and we will be happy to help.

1st Presbyterian Church of Matawan
Route 34 at Franklin Street

Parking in lot behind church; handicapped parking along side of building; wheelchair ramp into building and wheelchair section in auditorium available.

----Rehearsals here every Tuesday evening,
           7--10 pm.

FROM THE NORTH VIA GARDEN STATE PARKWAY:

Take G.S. Parkway South thru the RARITAN TOLLS. Stay to the Right after tollbooths, and continue South via the "LOCAL" lanes. Take second exit after tollbooths for ROUTE 9-SOUTH.

Continue South on ROUTE 9. When possible, get into LEFT LANE. After approximately 2 miles, take LEFT LANE EXIT for MATAWAN--ROUTE 34 South.

Continue South on Route 34 approximately 4 miles. As you pass the BUTTONWOOD MANOR RESTAURANT on your LEFT, get into the LEFT LANE (& put your blinker on to signal a left turn !)
1st Presbyterian Church will appear on the Left as you start to go uphill--TURN LEFT into FRANKLIN STREET. Go half a block & turn left into church parking lot.

FROM THE NORTH VIA N.J. TURNPIKE:

Take TURNPIKE SOUTH to EXIT 11 - WOODBRIDGE. After tollbooths, bear left up ramp & take the GARDEN STATE PARKWAY-SOUTH through the RARITAN TOLLS. Proceed as directed above.

FROM THE SOUTH:
Because neither the G.S. Parkway or the NJ Turnpike are convenient to linking into Route 34 from the South, you are advised to find the easiest approach from your location to ROUTE 34 & continue NORTH.

As you get into the Matawan/Aberdeen area, you will go through a shopping district that includes a Stop-&-Shop supermarket (on the right), a Carvel (a bit further, on the left), and Peter's Fishery (a bit further, on the right.)
About 2 blocks further north, on the right, you will soon see the 1^st Presbyterian Church. TURN RIGHT into FRANKLIN STREET. Go half a block and turn left into church parking lot.

FROM THE GARDEN STATE PARKWAY SOUTHBOUND:
GS Parkway to Exit 109. After paying toll, stay in center lane and make left onto Newman Springs Road (Route 520) and immediately get into the right lane. Bear right immediately after going under the overpass. Stay in center lane to cross over Newman Springs onto Half Mile Road. Continue on Half Mile Road to its end. At light, make a right onto West Front Street. At the third traffic light, make a right onto Bridge Avenue. The theater is on your left.

FROM THE GARDEN STATE PARKWAY NORTHBOUND:
GS Parkway to Exit 109. Follow exit ramp to traffic light. At the light, cross over Newman Springs Road onto Half Mile Road. Continue on Half Mile Road to its end. At light, make a right onto West Front Street. At the third traffic light make a right onto Bridge Avenue. The theater is on your left.

BY NEW JERSEY TRANSIT RAIL: NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line train to the Red Bank station. (Call 973-762-5100 for schedule and fare information). The Red Bank station is on the corner of Bridge Avenue and Monmouth Street. Walk North on Bridge Avenue (toward Juanitos Bakery) approximately 1 block and the theater will be on your right.

FREE PARKING is available behind the theater & on the street. Handicapped parking is available.

VIA ROUTE 35
Start out going SOUTH on NJ-35 S
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto ramp (Matawan exit).
Go STRAIGHT at light to MAPLE PL/ CR-516.
End at 376 Maple Pl. (opposite Day’s Funeral Home)

VIA GARDEN STATE PARKWAY
Take EXIT 117A toward ABERDEEN.
Turn LEFT onto CR-3/ LLOYD RD.
End at 376 Maple Pl # 2 Keyport, NJ 07735

FROM THE SOUTH:

VIA ROUTE 35
Start out going NORTH on NJ-35 N
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto ramp (Matawan exit).
Stay STRAIGHT to go onto BROADWAY. Turn LEFT to stay on BROADWAY.
Turn RIGHT onto MAPLE PL/ CR-516.
End at 376 Maple Pl. (opposite Day’s Funeral Home)

VIA GARDEN STATE PARKWAY
Take the RT-36 exit, EXIT 117, toward RT-35/ HAZLET/ KEYPORT/ ABERDEEN.
Take the RT-35 ramp toward MATAWAN/ HAZLET/ MIDDLETOWN.
Merge onto NJ-35 S. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto NJ-35 N.
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto ramp (Matawan exit).
Stay STRAIGHT to go onto BROADWAY.
Turn LEFT to stay on BROADWAY.
Turn RIGHT onto MAPLE PL/ CR-516
End at 376 Maple Pl., Keyport, NJ 07735
